A Kiss
The moon lurks when i sleep
bearing witness to my dreams.
of every fear written on my face.
Of unspoken suffering and silent pain;
When I sleep.
The moon bears record of my prayers.
My whims and fantasies whispered in secrecy.
She hears me calling out your name.
Even my faint lamentations and cries,
She feels my pain.
All the things my lips had concealed will find its way to bloom and nest,
to spring from mine to thine,
it'll play with the wind and the bees
until its beauty fades
but when the moon changes its hue;
til it colors itself blue,
all things will remain concealed.
I will be asleep the moment you walk in,
Will you give me a kiss to rouse me from my slumber?
or will just walk away as if there's nothing but darkness?
