clouds acquiescing
in the dusking sky.
i'm out of breath, i sigh.
like fireflies; little luces in the dark,
they too, cease to glow
i mourn for them as they die.
like a moth, adoring the moon
and in a loop it flies
but the lights will devour
and slowly disappear
from my sight.
like a wild flower, waiting for the sun's kiss
languidly wilts in the shadows of lofty trees
transcribed memories will be trodden
away and rot.
falter not,
illuminating my plight
as dusk devours the light.
