041418

the moon was not in sight that night.
and the wind was still;
i tried to close my eyes and in the darkness i search relief.
and i found myself in prayer,asking God to spare my child in despair.
Did God listen to my plea?
He did, so breathe my Child and live...
in the world where there is bliss.

Bland

stay awhile and hold my hand,
while the moon hides and the sky is dark.

hum me my favorite song,
while i recite your poem;
that these may  fill the space in between
sadness and silence.

my coffee is bland but i don't care,
as long as you stay awhile and hold my hand.

Back Burner

on the back burner,
there goes my little ragged doll
with a little warmth from the ores
the master had thrown a few years ago.

the room's bare.
it's cold.
and dark.
the door's locked.
confined.

Winter Song

I lost count  of  the mournful nights that passeth,
as i watch for a falling star from a still insipid sky that has become ruthless

I wonder if the  flowers will be awakened in springtime.
I am afraid, some will be timid.

The winter froze my vein,
i can only sing its song while the despondent sea echoes.
nobody cares to listen.

Egress

i met a lost soul in the back alley.
he asked me where the egress was and i replied;
"come follow me".

but his eyes reflected a hue of doubt,
his halo was grayed,

with a hoarse voice he asked  my name and i replied;
you will know everything when you pick up the pieces
and start building the memories you put behind.

for now let me take your hand.

Our Song

hear my song but don't be lulled,
be keen lest every lyrics fall behind.

rest your head upon my bosom,
heed my heartbeat;
meld with me.

put your lips between mine and together we will hum,
a new song, our lullaby.

Incongruous

it's only black or white,
everything in between are lies.

it's either the left or right,
but no one walks either path.

the clock's hand's in stasis,
but the world's still in merry go-round.

unfazed, i wore both black and white.

LOST

illusions are what my eyes perceive,
afloat like bubbles in my booze;
intoxicating,leaving me unhinged.

the words you speak in solemnity,
still,like an earthen vase full of cut flowers;
mum,drowning my soul.

darkness is my lover,
together we cruise;
barefoot.

I,with the cloak of illusions upon my eyes,
hear not any  word you speak;
Lost in a maze.

Sunken Dream

I dreamt of a broken-hearted lass
her tears filled my alabaster cup.
I felt its weight upon my chest.
throbbing;
wailing...
angry, in despair.

I dreamt of a man in a chariot on a blaze.
his fervid eyes unhinged from his kind of masquerade.
melting;
succumbing,
dying, in pieces.

a weeping lass and a dying man nest upon my vessel
in a sunken garden of my sleeplessness.

Fairy Dust

one night i found myself watching the sky,
no moon in sight, nor stars.
darkness stretched its shadow as far as my eyes could fathom.
i closed my eyes;
that was when the magic started to appear.

there was music played by a thousand fireflies
then i behold an  angel
not winged nor with a robe of silken white
but a formidable smile sketched on his face;
and a gleaming eyes.

that night, i learned how to dance.
and my heart found delight,
in every fairy dust sprinkled upon my path.

When the White Dove Coos

The white dove perched upon the windowsill;
perking its demented head high enough to reach my pedestal.
to glorify or to dethrone?I don't know.
soon, i'll be cocooned;
while the white dove stands still,unfazed.
watching me,silently.
no coos, no cries.
just a company of an innocent white dove.

Then came the morning after,
Now i hear its song as it started to fly,
veering away from the old sky
unto the multitude of hapless souls.
To save or torment? I don't know.
Tomorrow, some will perish;
And all the chosen ones will watch with awe.
With mourning whilst in prayer.

My Darling, when the white dove coos,
find me.

Betrothed

you're always on the run.
chasing the wind, with fire springing up  from your veins to no end
your  jaded jeans in silence screams of weariness.
your uber-indulgence enslaves the chances of seeing the moon rise when harvest time begins.

thy wings  never tire;
they fly a thousand miles to places unforeseen,
but away...
away from me.
so I stand still and planted my feet onto the ground
to catch when a feather falls;
saving thee.

Don't blink a second,no, don't sleep...
the betrothed moon will arise.
the sun will kneel and the stars will fall like rain
we will watch them in awe.
then there will be no chasing;
soon the wind will be tamed and your fire will find its home
deep in my bosom.

Momentary

That lazy afternoon when staring at the bleak sky makes me draw an image of thy face.
     I let my eyes burn tracing every details. Scared, that the rain may soon erase the momentary glimpse of thee.

     It makes me cringe away and escape from the scene,trembling.

The night is nigh, its forlorn kiss is warm against the frigid air.
     I welcome it upon my lips and let it wander deep into my nakedness.
Afraid;
it will find my loneliness.

PURPLE DRAGON

A bottle of wine and an empty bed,

No stars in sight yet the moon solely watches…
 -encumbered by guilt.
Its light has failed to uplift an old soul
Whose heart has been broken a hundred times or more.

The mirror shows a face drenched in sweetened  tears.
And of parched lips.
I let myself partake of this wine that once embalmed by thee.

As my empty bed becomes an altar,
I close my eyes, I let myself drown
With images of thee tracing my lips with thy fingers;
I let my consciousness  fly.
I know I’ll be seeing a purple dragon wearing a crown…
-in my sleep, indeed! A bottle of wine is cruel friend.

Cloak

Sleepy eyes amidst the silence of the reigning darkness,
keep vigil;
waiting for the sunrise when the moon stood me up.

No flicker of light in sight;
so i close my eyes and smell the frigid air that kisseth my shoulders.
no hint of thy scent appears but a shadow of a man with a cloak.

In this darkness,stealth figures moving in frantic.
the song of the Nightingale resounds thy madness.

soon the sky will give birth to a faint light of dawn,
take that cloak off , surrender to the morning dew.

Veil Of Forgetfulness

The dawning yawned with careless sigh,
No dreams to tell but blank stares at the moonless sky.
I was looking for a hero last night, but everyone's asleep,
or perhaps in town with their hands on the riveting lights dancing on the busy streets.

Maybe the fire-eater has set each soul in a blaze.
Or it might be the snake charmer's chanting that put my beloved's heart to freeze.
The sun refused to peek,perhaps the morning decided to wear the veil of forgetfulness.

Blithering Freedom

I just saw freedom flying high in the heavens
Never settling down the ground.
Nor perch on my shoulder to rest for a little while.
No, it would not want to swim either on my bath tub full of bubbles that you used to love.
It's mocking my stillness, blithering.
I'll catch you when I sleep;
In my bosom to nest.

Stay

softly...
the trees sway,
its branches bending
whispering.

come closer.

quietly...
thy river flows,
kissing  every curve of earth,
inviting.

immerse with me.

languidly...
the earth embraces thy skin
its scent is humbling.
pleading.

stay with me.

Morpheus' Embrace

the hypnotic  wind blows ,
freezing my toes.
numbing my flesh,yet...
the warmth of thy skin's ingrained unto mine womb.

appalling voices from the darkness
 devouring my sanity,
it's a thief,
crawling into the realm of my memories of thee.
Thus I chant each verse of thy poem of thy devotion.

Let Morpheus embrace my soul and in slumber i'll dance to the hymn of thy heart.
